The year ended and we welcomed a new decade. Our neighborhood has maintained a stable market, we’ve seen a smaller blip come back and finish the year just under $1MM.

Demand and inventory is projected to increase 

2019 was a decent year, and we’re expecting values to maintain if not increase a little bit this year. As expected, we saw values recede about 5% overall YTD. 

Price per square foot actually increased, because buyers were looking for better homes and better values, and supply in the last part of the year was lower than demand.

Fixer-Uppers are a hot commodity.

Homes that are overpriced or poorly upgraded will see frustration as they linger on the market. Days on Market is still higher than what we’ve seen in the past couple years, the inventory from the winter will quickly thin out and we’ll see new homes sell much faster.  What this means is that buyers will want to see updates and fresh paint. You can expect to get a premium price out of your remodeled kitchen this year when you work with an experienced negotiator.
