Laguna Niguel, CA is an affluent community located at the base of the San Joaquin Hills of Southern California bordering on beach cities Laguna Beach and Dana Point. Centrally located in South Orange County, Laguna Niguel is a great community to live in because it is just minutes away from beautiful beaches, Tree City USA Mission Viejo, historic San Juan Capistrano and more. Not only is Laguna Niguel surrounded by natural wonders, it’s got a few of its own.
Laguna Niguel Regional Park
Laguna Niguel Regional Park spans 227 acres filled with tons of recreational activities to enjoy. Most notably, the park surrounds the Laguna Niguel Lake – a 44 acre lake regularly stocked with catfish, bass, and blue gill as well as trout during the winter season (the end of November to the end of April). The Laguna Niguel Regional Park includes family friendly picnic areas including shelters, sinks, tables and BBQs equipped with electric outlets for any and every occasion under the sun, an amphitheater, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, jogging trail, four lighted tennis courts and of course tons of trees and shade throughout the park.
Laguna Niguel Lake
Laguna Niguel Lake is a great getaway for some peace and quiet – conveniently located within Orange County. It’s a great place to teach your kids the basics of fishing or simply enjoy a tranquil afternoon. The lake is protected from heavy wind and restocked with fish every two weeks providing a laid back – and hopefully eventful – fishing trip. Even if you don’t catch anything you can enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and surrounding park for a peaceful break from the hustle and bustle of the real world. The lake is equipped with a bait and tackle shop, fish cleaning station, snack station, boat rentals and picnic supplies for sale to accommodate visitors.
