As my kids like to say, I'm behind the times. I'm sorry, I loved my flip phone. It was small, portable, indestructible ..it never "butt-dialed" anybody and could survive in a ditch by the road for 5 days (and yes, I know this from experience). But...due to these things they call "apps", I was forced to upgrade to a smart phone. At least that's what they call them. But, I must admit, after having a smart phone, I understand what all the hype is about. Apps are amazing and, yes...there is an app for EVERYTHING! Check out these apps for home-searchers....they'll make your home search not only easier....but, "smarter". And yes...pun intended.

I'm sure you've seen all the commercials about this credit score checker thing..."Credit Karma"...anyway, I've checked it out and it's legit. But, the best thing is they have a pretty cool app as well. Wondering where your credit stands after that last Macys shop-a-thon? Then, just check this app out below. And, don't worry...no payment method is needed. My kind of app.

2. Home Loan Rates and Mortgage Calculator 

There's nothing like telling your lender what rates are this week before he sends out his weekly rate email...seriously....it's honestly priceless. I've done it. Check out this awesome app from Trulia below:

3. Home Search In All it's Glory

So...we've all seen the commercials. We've heard the name "Zillow" a million times. We've...ok, maybe just me, have thought of that little guy with the wand protecting that baby in that 80's Ron Howard movie when we hear the name. 4. Snap a Picture and Get the Info...It's That Easy. 

So....drumroll....here is an app that I really can't live without. Ok, I said it. I'm app-dicted to this app. Homesnap is it's name. You're out driving around..you see a house...snap a pic and...instantly...get the info about it. I'm talking...how many beds, baths...square footage...what the property is predicted to be worth. It's amazing. If you don't have much storage left on that little smart phone of yours...this is the app that is worth the remaining storage..."remaining storage worthy"!
