I know I’m not the only one who put real estate on the market in the fall…. and waited patiently for a potential buyer to come knocking on my door, only to have this long cruel winter keep everyone inside frozen to the TV watching the weather channel.
And with the notation, “On the market for 6 months…” screaming on your sell sheet, the suggestion becomes, “Do I lower my asking price so that my listing will resurface on the real estate websites?”
My answer is NO! Don’t touch that price! Or…if you feel the need to make a change, announce a price increase!
Yes, it has been a long cold winter, but reports nation wide suggest that real estate closings are on the rise, as are the selling price. People can sit for just so long before becoming itchy. I believe this year’s spring itch will be poison ivy quality.
Showings at our condo in Newport, RI have blossomed over night and inquiries are flowing in. (And now that the snow has finally melted away, we are looking forward to a few flowers blossoming as well.) Do we feel a price increase coming on?
In addition to the positive weather change, we have listed our condo on the Real Estate Website that everyone is talking about: COMMERCIALConnected.com. Prospective clients from out of state mention finding us at COMMERCIALConnected.com. Check it out and see if this exciting site might work for you! There is no tiered membership…and all listings are free!
