3 Reasons Families Love North Orange County

Written by Posted On Tuesday, 17 June 2014 09:57

Dreaming of living in a picturesque community with an extraordinary blend of luxury living in an affluent, tranquil, secluded area with a strong sense of community that one would expect to find in a rural small town setting? Add in upscale dining, shopping and family friendly entertainment practically at your fingertips and you can find it all in the North Orange County cities of Villa ParkNorth Tustin, and Anaheim Hills.

Strong sense of community

Families of all ages can entertain themselves at Irvine Park, a gift from the Irvine Family more than 100 years ago.  Today there are pony rides, an Easter Egg Hunt, Pumpkin Patch and Christmas festivities complete with a ride on the Christmas Train to Santa’s Village for a photo opp with Santa himself, as well as paddleboats, summer concerts, a zoo, picnic grounds, sports fields, hiking and biking trails and campfire pits.

Whatever your interest, age, and size of your family, Villa ParkNorth Tustin and Anaheim Hills have plenty to offer.  With seasonal community events that showcase their family friendly nature, all three cities support strong family ties built through shared local memories.

For more family friendly activities check out the Register Community Calendar, in the book “What to do with Kids in Orange County”, or Trekaroo.com.

Healthy living is easy with tons of parks and trails nearby

For athletes the trails of Windes Park, Peters Canyon, Santiago Oaks Regional Park, Weir Canyon Wilderness Park and the Santa Ana River Trail (which stretches more than 25 miles from Huntington Beach to Yorba Linda) offer safe havens for exercise to bicyclists, hikers, runners and walkers.

Take a short drive south on the 55 freeway to any one of our scenic Orange County beaches to enjoy surfing, kayaking or boating, or head north to Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear for skiing or snowboarding.

Entertainment is just around the corner

A quick jaunt down the freeway takes you to entertainment venues such as Disneyland and the Anaheim Resort Area, sporting events at the Honda Center and Anaheim Stadium.

There is also tons of shopping or dining in exciting Downtown Brea, Main Place, or South Coast Plaza malls.  The thrill of high quality live entertainment at the Orange County Center for the Performing Arts can also be yours within 30 minutes of home.
