Man caves are gaining popularity quickly everywhere!  Home buyers have started adding man caves to their list of wants when searching for a home.  

What are they?  A man cave is a male sanctuary, such as a specially equipped garage, spare bedroom, media room or basement.  It is a room, often inside the house, where “guys can do as they please”. 

Many man caves are simply areas to hang out that have bars, video games, TV’s and comfortable furniture.  It is a place to escape and not worry about housekeeping or style.  Some are small and simple, others are very well equipped; including bathrooms, wet bars, and pool tables.  Mostly, they are places that a man can call his own and escape from stress. 

Man caves give us the freedom to express ourselves.  Some are built in a garage, others behind a secret bookcase, in the basement, or a main room of a house.  Themes are limited only by your imagination; sports, music, movies, gaming, superheroes, sports cars, motorcycles, or hobbies.  They are a place to enjoy and have fun, whether alone or with family and friends.  The possibilities are endless; in fact, the trend has started branching out to work areas.  Women have jumped on the bandwagon with their version called DIVA Rooms.

Whatever they may be called, it is a trend that is catching on and evolving.  A place where you can relax and express yourself.
