Nanuet is located in Clarkstown, Rockland County New York. It is approximately 33 miles North of New York City, just North of the New Jersey border. Nanuet is more than just shopping though. Nanuet Lake Park, with a large pool that is designed to look like a lake, with fun slides, is a popular spot for the summer. The park offers picnicking, sports fields, and swimming. Nanuet is also close to Harriman State Park and Bear Mountain State Park, which provide a lot of hiking, camping, and outdoor fun.
