CHRISTMAS LIGHT DISPLAYS FOR THE TAMPA BAY AREA
With the holiday season right around the corner, homeowners across the country will soon be putting up awesome Christmas light displays that show off their love of the holiday, as well as their creativity. If you live in the Tampa Bay area or plan to visit soon, here are a few of the best Christmas light displays in the Tampa Bay area that you should take the time to visit during the holiday season.
Oakdale Christmas Light Display
The OAKDALE CHRISTMAS HOUSE
2719 Oakdale Street S., St. Petersburg, Florida
Located at 2719 Oakdale St. in St. Petersburg, the half-acre Oakdale Christmas House is worth the drive. It is among the largest and longest running displays in the country complete with carnival rides and a zoo. Admission is free and it is open Friday, November 29 through Friday, January 3 nightly from 6-10 p.m.Visit christmasdisplay.org for more information.
Christmas Lane
This well-loved spot on Wooten Rd., just off of Dover Rd., (two miles north of S.R. 60) has become a popular holiday tradition. Guests can stroll through a magical Christmas town with a cup of hot chocolate and popcorn and listen to musical entertainment, while children take a train ride and visit Santa. Christmas Lane will be open November 27th 2015-January 3rd, 2016 from 6pm to 10pm daily. It will be located at the Florida Strawberry Expo Hall.

DeBrocke Lights
Since 2006, the DeBrocke family has created a magnificent presentation of Christmas lights, synchronized with seasonal songs and upbeat tunes, broadcasted on 101.1 FM. Throughout the month of December, be sure to visit their radiant home, located at 11720 Stonewood Gate Dr. in Riverview. However, visitors are requested to respect the neighbors’ property, not to walk into the yard (for safety reasons) and leave room on the road for cars to pass through. In the spirit of Christmas, this neighborhood opens its gates to exhibit 51 homes decorated with dazzling light displays and comical Christmas characters. Though dates have not been decided, visitors can typically wander through this glittering wonderland off of Lumsden Rd. between John Moore and Bryan Rd. in Brandon starting at 6 p.m. each night.
Drive Thru Symphony Isles
Symphony Isles in Apollo Beach will be open for its Annual Christmas Drive-Thru from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Dec. 13.
The public is invited to go and enjoy the lights and decorations. Bring the kids to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Boat Thru is on December 12th from 6-8 pm also
Holiday Lights in the Gardens will be open from today to Dec. 31 every evening from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. A donation of $4 for adults is suggested but not required, with children 12 and under entering free.
