Lake Clarke Shores West Palm Beach, Florida

Lake Clarke Shores Founded as a lakeside community in the late 1940's, the Town of Lake Clarke Shores was incorporated in 1957, and consists of approximately 1,500 dwellings.
Lake Clarke Shores is located in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The distance around our beautiful lake is 3.3 miles.
As a full-service municipality, the Town of Lake Clarke Shores provides, Police service, garbage and trash collection, and also provides potable water to most of its residents. The population is approximately 3,600. Homes here range in size from approximately 1300 to over 8700 square feet. Some of the homes have pools and some are directly on the lake with Docks and boat lifts. Some properties have both. The freshwater canals and lakes that connect with Lake Clarke Shores offers boaters great fishing, water sports, sightseeing and family picnics at the nearby parks. You can simply beach your boat at any of the parks and enjoy the day with your family. Lake Clarke Shores is very convenient to I-95.

Lake Clarke Shores developed from a community of a few homes on the shores of Lake Clarke.  Development had occurred at such rate that by 1957 the community incorporated as a town.  Many interesting examples of "retro" 1950s and 1960s architecture can be found on some homes.  Other stately homes are located directly on the lake.  Somewhat unusual for a community of its size, the town maintains its own police force, while other larger communities have opted to contract out with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department for public safety.

Since 2000, the town's proximity Interstate 95 and the trendy downtowns of both West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, as well as its leafy streets and well maintained housing stock, has led to a fast acceleration in housing prices. Despite this recent trend, Lake Clarke Shores has maintained itself, as it has throughout its history, as an attractive residential enclave that is attainable to middle as well as more upper income households.

Lake Clarke Shores is located directly adjacent to the cities of West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. Direct access to those cities is by Forest Hill Boulevard and Keller Road respectively. The Village of West Palm Beach is located directly west of the town. The town is roughly bounded by Interstate 95 to the east, Florida Mango Road to the west, Summit Boulevard to the north, less the Lake Patrick neighborhood, and 10th Avenue North to the south, less the Waterside neighborhood.  Population of Lake Clarke Shores as of July 2007 was 3,345.
