Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Colorado and Soles4Souls joined forces for the third year in a row to collect and donate over 6,500 pairs of shoes during the fall shoe drive, benefitting those living in poverty and people hit hardest by the recent Houston and Florida hurricanes.

“Soles4Souls is close to our hearts at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage because seeing children and adults with no shoes on their feet is a sight that’s not only difficult to witness, but also unnecessary,” said Rick Crompton, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage affiliated agent in the North Metro branch, who helps promote and support the partnership.

Soles4Souls is a non-profit organization that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Every day, children are prevented from attending school and adults are unable to work because walking becomes unbearable. A pair of shoes provides relief in many developing nations around the globe, in the United States and in Canada.

“As a brokerage with a network of over 1000 agents in the state of Colorado, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has wide-reaching access to clients on the move – whether buying or selling their homes – and we always ask if they have spare, gently-worn shoes that they no longer use. Often, our clients have several and are happy to donate them for a good cause,” said Todd Moir, regional marketing manager, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Colorado.

To date, Coldwell Banker in Colorado has collected 16,333 pairs of shoes that translates into the gift of 81,665 meals, one year of enrollment tuition for 816 students or 544 years’ worth of shelter for a family.

“This year alone, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Colorado donated 6,525 pairs of shoes with more still being received,” said Emory Dinner, regional donation center manager in Colorado, Soles4Souls. “The shoes collected benefit our international micro-enterprise program as a tool for families to generate income in places where work is scarce. Through the shoes donated this year, Colorado’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has given the gift of 32,625 meals, one year of enrollment tuition for 326 students or 217 years’ worth of shelter for a family in places like Haiti and Honduras. Soles4Souls is grateful for the support and dedication of Coldwell Banker agents and staff.”

Many offices are still collecting, so contact your local Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage for more information or visit Soles4Souls.org.
