MAPLEWOOD, N.J. (Sept. 10, 2018) Lisa Danbrot and Carla Labianca, real estate agents affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Maplewood, are organizing the inaugural Re|Source Home Show on Sunday, Sept. 30 from 1-4 p.m. at The Woodland historic mansion in Maplewood Village. The show will feature more than 30 architects, designers and home industry professionals who will showcase their work and answer questions, offering endless possibilities for home renovation, restoration and renewal.

The Re|Source Home Show exhibitors service the Essex County bedroom communities of New York City and are well-versed in the common housing stock of the area – older Colonials, Victorians, Arts and Crafts, Tudors, ranches, mid-century modern, and more. There will also be DIY demonstrations in antique window restoration, fall plant container design, and an intro to Annie Sloan® chalk paint.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, with proceeds benefitting First Friends of New Jersey and New York, an organization that “upholds the inherent dignity and humanity of detained immigrants and asylum seekers.” Tickets can be purchased at www.theresourcehomeshow.com.

All attendees will receive a program of exhibitor contact information and articles on interior and architectural design, an eco-friendly gift bag with a 23-piece tool set to help with on-the-fly home projects and swag from exhibitors.  Furthermore, the Re|Source Home Show website offers complimentary access to an online compilation of regional service providers including handy persons, painters, plumbers, electricians, independent makers and more.

“Lisa and I were inspired to develop the Re|Source Home Show based on our love of older homes. We both reside in older homes, and work as real estate agents in a community full of wonderful, older homes,” said Labianca. “At the nucleus of the Re|Source Home Show is the desire to preserve this history through the restoration of original architectural features and respectful renovation and design, while offering the homeowner options to imprint their own individual vision.”

Danbrot added, “The Re|Source Home Show will provide a forum for regional homeowners to meet and learn valuable information from local home improvement professionals, while also providing those professionals an opportunity to expand their client base and forge business relationships with other industry professionals.”

The Re|Source Home Show is sponsored by Inhabit Your Home, a blog for the “stylish and functional home.” Partners include Nu Interiors, Studio Nuovo, Chambers Design, Aimee Herring Ryan Photography, Palmer’s Sweetery and Café, The Framing Mill and Bonnie’s Blooms.
