NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 10, 2020) – Realtracs’ Chief Technology Officer Doug Powers was honored as CTO of the Year at the 11th Annual NTC Awards organized by the Greater Nashville Technology Council. Nearly 700 people gathered for the event at the Wildhorse Saloon.

Powers won in the CTO category for his significant contributions with Realtracs, the largest multiple-listing service in Tennessee, where he has led both the technology and product teams since 2016. Realtracs supplies the data for thousands of national real estate websites, portals and local brokerage websites, syndicating more than 40 terabytes of data per month to real estate technology companies around the country.

“I’m honored to be recognized for the hard work we do for our team and for the community,” Powers said. “What we do deeply matters to families in Middle Tennessee; we help them find a home. Realtracs facilitates real estate transactions by helping brokers come together to create a shared marketplace. For most Americans, where they live is a part of their dream, and our talented team of engineers work tirelessly every day to help make those dreams possible.”

Powers has also led Realtracs’ collaboration with others in the industry to define a standard for real estate data and a common API interface for exchanging the data. In the past year, Realtracs became the first MLS in the country to fully adopt and migrate all customers to the standards.

In addition to his work at Realtracs, Powers has traveled globally and built international teams with IBM and S&P Global. He has developed consumer products for the online staffing platform Snag that help hourly workers find their next job, and he has built security products for Idemia that help keep our classrooms, airports and communities safe.
