In an effort to cater to healthy and fit-minded homeowners, Soleil, a high-end condominium project in Miami's Wynwood Arts District has gone the extra step. The condominiums once built will house a Fitness Concierge to assist residents in the 41-story building.
"It's like having a personal assistant to manage your active lifestyle," says Assistant Project Developer Lysa Migliorati. "Whether you want a relaxing massage after a long day of work, or want to make sure the tennis courts are available for an early morning set, the Fitness Concierge is your go-to person."
The concept is akin to the growing-in-popularity hotel-condo conversions that are popping up in major metropolitan cities which offer, in many cases, daily five-star living.
"The Fitness Concierge was conceived because Soleil was designed especially for active young professionals who want to enjoy the resurgence of Biscayne Boulevard, and the culture and sophistication of the Arts District while staying physically fit," says Migliorati.
The Fitness Concierge is a complimentary service for Soleil residents. They will only have to pay for requested treatments and classes that they take. The whole condo project has a sports-oriented theme. A 50,000-plus square foot amenity deck will have a heated sunset beach- entry swimming pool. A resident's pavilion will have a half basketball court with stadium seating, tennis and racquetball courts and even a Zen garden to relax in after a good game. There will also be a state-of-the art fitness center complete with premium weights and cardio equipment, locker rooms, saunas and steam rooms. Condominiums that feature upgrades and extra amenities are becoming the norm these days. Angelica Balikos, President of The Apple Organization which promotes Soleil says that stiff competition is driving developers to take new approaches when building their projects.
"Everybody in this market is going above and beyond to provide every extra that they can because it is a competitive market," says Balikos.
She says even the print advertising for the condo project has a fitness theme.
"It looks like a Gatorade ad almost. It's like an up-close shot, one is a male, one is a female and you see the beads of sweat on their faces. That's how much this entire campaign has been geared to the sports-minded," says Balikos.
Even the social events to create awareness about the condos are centered around fitness.
"Our special event to launch Soleil was sports-themed. We do these condo parties very regularly and they attract thousands of people …. We had a flavored oxygen bar and people from Crunch Fitness performing," says Balikos.
Fit living at a healthy price; the condos begin at $400,000. For more information visit soleilmiami.com .
