It all starts with a bit of water. You may think nothing of a little rainfall here and a little draining there. But over time, that water starts to weaken your home's foundations.

Because a weak or busted foundation can cause many other problems around the house, it's important to fix it right away. However, the price tag for fixing the foundation can easily cost $10,000 or more.

Try to take steps such as cleaning gutters to avoid water settling around the foundation. And don't be afraid to add some soil and create a proper slope to direct that water away from your house.

2. A/C or Furnace Issues
