ABD Development Sponsors It's 55th "New Home" Seminar March 10 at Providence Golf Club

Davenport, Fl - It's one thing to sponsor a seminar once a year or so, but it is quite another to sponsor the same one almost every month for five years. But then again when it results in increasing co-broker sales from 20% to 80% the first year and sustaining that average, why not?  More than 2500 area Realtors have taken the course, which prepares agents to sell new homes for any builder not just at Providence.

ABD Development Sales, Marketing  and Land Acquisition Vice President Matt Brown decided to 'try a different approach to co-broker marketing and "see what happens."  His six builders at Providence Golf Club needed more co-broker traffic and Providence Golf Club, a 2200-acre gated, master-planned golf course community near Walt Disney World and the Orlando International Airport was off the beaten path at the time.

. "We decided to establish 'education and training' as our co-broker marketing baseline and focus on the needs of the agent, not the builder" and address the misunderstandings, myths, and challenges facing the agent who is trained to list and sell resales, but facing a growing demand by their prospects to represent home shoppers who will consider new construction.

"Many of our graduates are selling not our homes but other builder's homes too. We look at it at helping our local agents make more sales and become more successful, believing as has been proven, they will remember where it all started," Brown said.

On March 10, David Fletcher, CEO of New Home Co=Broker Academy LLC, will be leading the 3-hour seminar, How To Build A New Homes Niche. and introducing results of a study published in May 2019, by Builder Digital Experience that will help real estate agents and onsite sales consultants better understand their markets, competition and today's resale and new home shopper., The course includes 3 hours CE credit and an opportunity for agents to earn their New Home Co-broker (NHC) designation.

He has been a contributor to Realty Times for 16 years and contributed to Inman News for 3 years.

His education philosophy is based on these simple assumptions:

  • Builders need qualified buyers. Realtors need saleable inventory.
Today's home shoppers expect their Realtor to help them navigate the buying process whether it be for a resale or new construction.
