Ask Denise: Database Cleanup

Written by Posted On Monday, 05 December 2022 00:00

Q: “Denise, I am currently cleaning up my database and I have a number of past client sellers who have moved out of the area. I am about to begin a mailing campaign to everyone in my database, but am not sure I should include people who no longer live here. What do you think?”

A: You would be amazed at the number of agents who have reported getting referrals from past clients who have moved out of the area. Remember, they often still know people who live near you and if you have done a good job for them AND are now keeping in touch, then you will be remembered. Now more than ever with social media and Zoom, you don’t need to be in the same room, the same street, or even the same city to be connected. And remember, if someone has moved far away, there is a greater element of complexity there that people may be curious about. That provides even a greater opportunity for your name to come up.
