The CDPE, Certified Distressed Property Expert, was launched in 2008, by Alex & Cadey Charfen. This Short Sales course quicky became the fastest growing designation in the history of the real estate industry. Approximately 50,000 real estate professionals took the course, and collectively, rescued nearly two million distressed property owners from the devastating consequences of foreclosure.

“We are excited to be passing the CDPE brand on to Tony; said the Charfens. He was our first instructor that we brought on to teach the course in 2008 outside of Alex. We have been approached by many others to purchase the brand but passing it on to someone who has a heart for the mission and a strong commitment to continuing the excellence of the training was important to us. We are looking forward to legacy CDPEs being able to reconnect and to future CDPEs being able to help homeowners who need them.”

Former CDPEs will have the option to reactivate their membership. New students are being accepted and can enroll in the upcoming Live Zoom based sessions. In-person and distance learning courses will be introduced shortly.
