Reasons Why Your Oven Won’t Heat

Written by Posted On Tuesday, 17 October 2017 00:27

If you have determined that your oven is not heating up completely with the use of a basic temperature gauge, here are the things that you should carefully inspect before calling for an expert appliance repair assistance.

An electric oven has two elements. If one of these elements doesn’t glow bright red, it means it is defective and must be replaced. If you are done installing a new element and the oven still doesn’t heat up, there could be a loose connection or a bad wire that prevents your oven to work properly.

If your oven temperature sensor is damaged, it will not heat up correctly. You must ensure to check the elements and wires first before replacing a faulty sensor. If your oven does not have a sensor, you can check for a loose or burnt out bulb. Relays can also burn out over time and can prevent an oven from heating.
