Curb appeal is so important when it comes to drawing in potential buyers. Consider an easy option with FALL COLOR! There are so many choices when it comes to adding these bright hues to your garden. It does not cost a lot, but the expense will be well worth it if you bring in your buyer. One of my favorite fall planting ideas is the Croton. These Crotons do well planted in fertilized soil or even in a lovely pot.
Crotons' bright variegated leaves add color to landscapes and ornamental gardens. The croton "Petra" (Codiaeum variegatum “Petra”) is an evergreen shrub native to southern Asia and the western Pacific islands. It prefers hot, humid weather and grows only in U. S. Department of Agriculture zones 9b through 11. In other climates, croton can be grown in containers and kept indoors during cold weather. This distinctive, variegated plant needs special care to stay healthy in all climate zones.
Another amazing selection is the mum. What a difference all these colors added to your entry will make for your drive up appeal. Choose bright shades that compliment your home's paint or brick color.
Mums, or chrysanthemums, are a beautiful addition to any garden or home. These flowers are traditionally recognized by their colorful domes of vibrant yellow, burgundy, plum, white, pink or lavender blossoms that bloom profusely in the fall. Mums not only range in color but size and shape too.
Sweet Potato vines add a striking lime green or purple to your curb appeal. Check out this lovely picture from houseplantsforyou.com.
All of these plants can be bought by your local Lowe's, Home Depot or neighborhood nursery.
Happy Planting and Good Luck on your listing!
