If you look around any city when you are driving by, you will recognize a lot of construction going on all over the place. Do you ever wonder what they are actually constructing, who is constructing it, and what the process of it is. If not, maybe you are in search of constructing your own building. Either way, this information is an important aspect of the construction industry.

fox parking structure

The Fox Parking Structure is located in Fox Studios Los Angeles, CA. Shotcrete Systems contracted this project to place over 3,000cyds of 6,000psi Shotcrete. This is to be able to construct a 5 level parking structure for Fox Studios. The initial design of the parking structure was supposed to be constructed of columns using the typical CIP concrete methods after the walls were built and constructed. This option was removed because it was going to end up more costly and would drag out way longer than expected. The new method of using 3,000cyds of 6,000psi Shotcrete would be a better option for all parties involved in the construction, employees and employers. It would cut down significantly on the time and cost of construction and engineering. The new method involves constructing the columns as an integral part of the Fox Parking Structure walls. This type of construction is used for any basement walls also involved in parking structures.

Shotcrete Systems says that their "belief is that success in today's construction marketplace relies completely on innovation and a company's inherent ability to adapt and utilize new found technology." They want to give their customers the best products out there at the best prices out there. They want to exceed expectations without breaking safety codes. Shotcrete Systems knows that the construction industry has change significantly over the past 10 years and they use these changes to their advantage. They bring new and developing opportunities to their customers staying loyal and honest while doing so. Combining terrific customer service with cutting edge modern technology, design, and construction, Shotcrete Systems are able to stay ahead of the game at all times.

The Fox Parking Structure is only one of their amazing construction projects using basement walls but they also construct using many other types of methods.

  • Basement Walls
  • Shear Walls
  • Seismic Rehab
  • Architectural Shotcrete
  • Tunnel Linings
  • Channel Linings
  • Retaining Walls
  • Specialty Projects

Combining all of these construction methods into one system gives Shotcrete Systems the upper hand in the construction industry. They can provide just about anything that a customer would want and give them complete satisfaction on the finished product. Their goal is to build it better than any other company would. This allows any customer to be rest assured that their building will be constructed properly, safely, inexpensive, and in a timely manner.

James Patrick is a freelancer writer and very much enjoyed writing an article about construction on the Fox Parking Structure by Shotcrete Systems.
