Tips for making the most of your Real Estate Life and your Family/Personal Life!

Make the most productive use of your day, with these services & tips for your data, your contacts, your e-mail, your health, your time and your personal satisfaction.

Dropbox (www.dropbox.com) for quick access on all of your computers, smartphones and tablets, to your most important documents, passwords, photos & other files. ICLOUD is another of this type of file storage system

Eyejot (www.eyejot.com) for easily sending video e-mails to your contacts & family, with attachments, links, photos, files etc.

Use an application like www.chicagoagent.com to quickly and easily create seller net sheets or buyer closing costs and quick estimates of payments & taxes etc., from your desktop, laptop, tablet and or smartphone!

Create a free www.youtube.com account, to post useful & informative videos (keep them short and helpful), to boost your online site rankings!  Remember to add keywords for all of your videos.  Use a program like I-Movie or Windows Live Movie Maker to make things easier, if you want to edit or add titles, pictures, links etc. to your videos!  Refer to www.youtube.com/3fredeckert3 for examples.

With your e-mail, create an e-mail signature for your smartphone or tablet with Signature Pro (from the app store for Apple products).  Other e-mail signature programs can be found via an online search!

Use a device like a FITBIT (www.fitbit.com and is sold online and in stores) for keeping motivated about your fitness and health.

If you post useful information or links on www.facebook.com , www.linkedin.com,  www.twitter.com etc., think about setting up your services like I do.   I post on LINKEDIN and that account is set up to automatically post to TWITTER, which automatically posts to FACEBOOK.  A true timesaver!  Examples of my posts can be found at www.facebook.com/fredeckert

Consider using one operating system like the I-Phone, I-Pad and a Mac computer or laptop (www.apple.com ). I use all three to make everything simple.  Any contact or appointment/event that I put in one device, is automatically sent to the others, via WIFI.  Android phones and devices have similar connectivity.

Finally, Set goals for the day or week and write them down.  Share these with your family and friends and post them near where you are, most of the time.  Don’t forget to enlist your family’s help in keeping stress at bay, by sharing why it is important that they know, why you want to succeed (leaving a lasting legacy of success, making enough money for college, a trip, a house etc.).  By thanking your family for the support they give you, often; you will find them wanting to support you more.

Remember too, that stress does not come from the extra phone call or other interruption in your day.  It comes from either yourself or is triggered by the comments of those around you.  I never think of an interruption as stressful, I think of it as an opportunity to brighten someone else’s day, earn more $$ or make a nice connection!

My parting comment is---

“Find something to love about your work.  I plan on working as long as I can, because, I believe, that retirement kills more people than work, that you like, ever does”!
