Sentrilock Beats Competition Even Before Launch of New Products

Written by Posted On Sunday, 07 October 2007 17:00

In a recent survey of local and state REALTOR® Association Executives (AEs) and MLS executives conducted by the National Association of Realtors' Marketing Research Department, SentriLock ranked number one in four out of five key categories: lockbox product, service, system and overall satisfaction.Comparing Sentrilock to GE's Supra and Risco products as well as mechanical lockboxes, Sentrilock was bested only in price by Risco, but soundly beat all competitors in the other categories.

That gives Sentrilock a nice lead going into the National Association of Realtors convention next week, because the company will be debuting an even better product.

Sentrilock's REALTOR® Lockbox NXT is the industry's first Internet-enabled lockbox with a wireless transmitter built into the box. What that enables Realtors to do is access the lockbox data from any wireless device -- computer, PDA, or iPhone. All the agent needs is Internet access and he or she can go to a secured Sentrilock website and retrieve information about showings, or use the website to disable the lockbox should the home go under contract. No more hopping in the car and driving to the listing.

"We listened carefully to real estate professionals over the past year," explains Scott Fisher, president of Sentrilock, "and in response we've built a lockbox solution that is flexible and caters to the individual needs of real estate professionals."

Keeping in mind that agents say they want "ease-of-use," the REALTOR® Lockbox NXT is built on SentriLock's patented lockbox technology and its SentriCard® smart card, which serves as the electronic hotel-style "key" for the lockbox. It features a smaller compact lockbox with more storage for the key bin to allow more kinds of keys and keyrings to fit inside. In addition, security has been enhanced with a stronger double-layer alloy steel body and existing SentirCards will work without having to be upgraded.

It's technology made simple, says Bob Goldberg, senior vice president of marketing and business development for the NAR. "SentriLock's REALTOR® Lockbox NXT delivers this and much more to our family of real estate professionals," he says.

Founded in 2003, SentriLock LLC is majority-owned by the NAR, and is the official lockbox solution of NAR's REALTOR Benefits® Program. SentriLock has more than 150 association clients using its lockbox system, representing nearly 200,000 agents. "Our mission from day one has been to partner with the industry to identify Realtors' preferences in lockbox features -- and then deliver products that not only meet, but exceed their expectations," says Fisher.

For more information, stop by Sentrilock's booth 2229 at the Expo next week and tell Fisher and the NAR what you think of the new REALTOR® Lockbox NXT.
