Houses Make Me Stress a Lot

Stress, what is stress?

Stress is one of the commonest things we as human’s go through. At some point or the other in life, we all experience stress in different levels as there are many different things or situations that can cause a person to stress. Stress is seen as a natural thing and part of life. Many of us do not even realize we are stressing until certain things happen.

Stress can cause a lot of damage and affect different parts of a person’s body. It may affect some people on the outside and with others, it could affect the inside of their body.

Hair that falls out is one of the most common signs of too much stress. Then, there are also people that are stress eaters, meaning they eat more when they stress. You also get people that stop eating when they stress, thus, they have difficulty getting food into their bodies.

So, you should look at different stress symptoms if you think that you may be stressing. I recently just found out that my stress has caused me to have periodontal gum pockets. The dentist said I had periodontal gum disease for some time and with loads of stress, it has now created periodontal gum pockets.

As I said, there are so many different things that might cause one to stress and you should have regular health check-ups at your doctor and dentist.

Here are some of the things that may cause stress:

•   Business

•   Family

•   Income

•   Expenses

•   Time

So, as you can see, there are many different reasons for stress. I do not have enough time in this article to give you the entire list but I’m going to tell you what happened to me.

From a very young age I seemed to stress a lot about moving, my entire life, as far as I can remember back, my family has moved around. If I lived in one place for a year it was a long period. You see, my dad’s job required that he move around a lot. I think he opened new branches and got them settled or set-up before moving on or something in that line. This caused us to move basically every year.

As a child and a young adult, I have seen such a variety of house designs, towns, different furniture and people that I could compile a book.

The houses we lived in use to always come fully furnished. We never bought houses as we were moving all the time. Thus, we were always renting houses. I have lived in houses that have very big rooms, as well as houses that have very small rooms. Some were nice and even had a pool but others were cramped and sometimes even scary looking.

However, I have to say, there is one thing that I have learned and am grateful for. Due to all that moving around, I now know exactly what my house should look like. You can basically say that I have probably seen it all.

I had to get designer and builder to do the house I had in mind after all those years of traveling. Today, now that it is done and I have moved in, I can truly say that I am so happy with my home that there is nothing I would change.

My bedroom is surely not small and on the upside, it has a walk in cupboard. The dressing table has been built into the wall and I have a mini chandelier that hangs over my medieval-time bed. I decided that the ceiling in every room has to be very high, as the room must have a lot of space. The bathroom that is in my bedroom is fitted with a big bath-shower combination that is a two-in-one, and the floor has an underwater sea life scene painted on it.

In my kitchen, you will find mostly red and black stripes and dots. Yes, I know, I have a very weird liking in colors. My kitchen has the supper table in the middle, built into the floor, plus, the table also has draws built in underneath it to save space. My stove is built into the counters that line my walls and I have three sinks built-in. Two of these are next to each other for washing and the other one is for rinsing vegetables.

Now then, when looking at my lounge, you will see a TV that is built into the one wall with orange leather couches facing the TV. In the opposite corner, I have a fish tank built into the wall and I have a big window looking out into the front yard. On the inside of the window, I have a few pot plants that mostly contain herbs that I can use for cooking.

I know you must be thinking, but why not put herbs in the kitchen, well, the reason they are in the lounge is due to their lovely purple flowers, thus, they make the lounge look stunning.

So, there you have it, some detail on things I love. These are what makes my home perfect for me. The main reason for my stress this last year or so was because I had a very hard time finding someone that was able to help me to create my dream house so that I could settle down. My dentist has given me treatment and every week my gums are looking better. Stress can make a person very ill but removing stress from your life can once again allow your body to heal.
