Clean a Messy House Checklist - Things to Consider

Everything Is Possible

It is a fact that your house could be in a mess and it is something that is not uncommon in most houses. If you have children and if both the partners are working, then it is quite likely that you will find the house quite unclean. You may have earmarked the weekend for cleaning and other purposes and suddenly if you have guests coming, it could be an embarrassing situation. Instead of panicking, you would do better to take a deep breath and find out where and how to get started. Once you get started, you will be sure that things will start moving in the right direction.

Be Realistic And Reasonable

The first thing is to be sure that you come up with a plan of action that is not complicated and undoable. The plan should be reasonable. It is quite obvious that you cannot within a few hours making sure that the house would be spick and span and resemble the brand new house that you walked in. Being reasonable means that you set yourself a target that is achievable and not something is wishful but perhaps improbable and perhaps even impossible.

A Few Questions That You Should Ask

Decide on the time available for cleaning and the time by which the guests would be visiting. Once you are sure about the time available with you, you must take stock of the situation and find out as to how messy the house is right now. The person or persons who are coming also needs to be taken into account. Your friends may not mind at all about the condition of the house. But if your mother in law is visiting, then she could take extra caution and care to try and find out flaws in housekeeping. Hence, the guests who are coming could have a bearing on the way your house should look. Finally, try and find out how long will the guests be staying. If it is for a few hours, it should not be much of a problem. However, if they are planning to stay for a day, stay behind overnight and perhaps even for a few days, then you must take special care as far as the entire cleaning process is concerned.

Conclusion

The house cleaning checklist is quite huge and therefore you must focus mainly on the living rooms, the drawing room, the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and toilet. Dusting and cleaning the same and ensuring that things are in place could be a good way to bring some order back into the house. Hence, when it comes to having the right clean a messy house checklist you must know where to begin and end and have a realistic expectation.
