Skyland is a multiculturally diverse neighborhood conveniently situated just minutes east of downtown Denver. Primarily developed circa the 1950’s, the architectural style of the homes varies from ranches to bungalows to even some Victorians, many of which have undergone extensive modern renovations. The majority of these 2-3 bedroom homes are situated on spacious lots displaying large front yards with plenty of grass that creates the perfect blend of privacy with just the right touch of community.
The Skyland neighborhood is located within the city of Denver and is therefore a part of the Denver Public School District. Three schools are a part of the immediate community: Barrett Elementary School,Columbine Elementary School, and P.R.E.P. (Positive Refocus Education Program). There are also a number of highly rated private schools that are conveniently situated within the vicinity and are perfectly set up for individuals who work downtown or in the nearby business district.
One of the most desirable attractions the Skyland community has to offer is its immediate proximity to City Park. The 330-acre park boasts its own golf course, an abundance of running trails, the Denver Zoo, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. City Park also hosts the yearly City Park Jazz Series, a tradition that can trace its roots back 130 years. City Park Jazz is an outdoor summer concert venue that draws over 80,000 people to the 10 free jazz concerts it produces and is one of the staples of entertainment for the Denver community.
