$7,341.33 | Torey'sThoughts Ep. 20 by Torey Howarth from Philadelphia

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone!  Now that summer is upon us, I wanted to take a moment, share an important anniversary with you, and fill you in on what that number in the title means...

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Torey (some call me "T") and I help urbanites interested in real estate connect the dot's between what they think they know and what they really need to know to be successful in today's markets.  I also have a passion for building businesses too.

As a brief preface, one of the things I see a great deal of in today's social eco-system is a lot of people with a darn good false front.  A false front that portrays how awesome they are, instead of being true to themselves.  So why not celebrate summer with the most important video yet?

$7,341.33 is my net income for the last year.  My goal in sharing this with you is to enable you to visualize everything you have seen of me within the last year and combine it with the result.  I want to convey to you what my path to $100,000,000 in sales by year 3 looks like vs. the work put in.

Last May 25, 2015 was the day I signed up to take my licensing education courses.  I received my license on June 17, 2015.  Some of you may suggest June 17th is my 1 year anniversary, but I go by the dollars and cents.  They do not lie.

Do you realize how meaningful this tiny number for my net income really is?  See, being brutally honest, not many people have the vision or grit that I possess.  That is not a dismissive statement, but just a fact.  Selling real estate has been my full time job throughout the duration of this 1 year term.  So essentially my income equated hourly to a restaurant job WITHOUT tips.  Do you see me complaining?  No.  I am actually damn proud of this accomplishment.  Let me explain:

After coming off of my last business, I underwent a life pivot to enter the game of real estate sales.  I see almost everyone doing the same crap (and the market expects it).  My intuitive entrepreneurial mind channeled my time, effort, energy, and resources towards defining my own path amongst the seemingly clustered environment of selling real estate.

Upon making the "risky" decision to chart my own path in this lethargic game in order to provide massive value to my clients, my peers, and myself/family, I scanned the market and saw why almost everyone in this industry does the exact same crap in a very similar way.  What I found is that it will take time, sacrifice, and loads of consistent effort in order to make a meaningful difference in such a big market.  Once recognizing this, I decided to make the plunge and commitment to endure life in my pursuit to leaving my mark on society.

So now wrapping up year #1, I can look back and see, my business model is paying off.  Although, to date, both professionally and personally I have transacted over $1,474,000 dollars of real estate, this coming month I set to almost double that.  Viewership of my content is starting to uptick.  I am starting to have the ability to positively impact more people's lives which is the ultimate goal.  Momentum is kicking in.  Playing off of my talk last week about "The Compound Effect", you must put in persistent effort over time to see results.  You can not set expectations, but you must set and relentlessly pursue goals.  This is your real life example of that.

If you take one thing from this brutal honesty and openness, take this one thing:  "Patience is the mother of all victories".

WHAT I DO:  I save you time and energy by guiding you throughout the home buying and selling process.

HOW I DO IT:  I connect the dots between what you think you know and what you don't yet know but need to know.  The internet can make us feel like we know it all and don't need a real estate agent, when in fact what it actually does is it gives us much more information than we know what to do with.  I blend my proprietary insight gained through many conversations, observations, and years of experience with what you already know to create a useful action plan to get us from point A to point B.  For all of the moments in between those big moments, I rely on consistent communication to prevent your mind from wandering away, so we can stay laser-focused on the end goal.

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT:  My approach.  I am a Millennial who understands real estate by internalizing why things work the way they do.  By understanding the "why", I can provide insight on a deeper level and align you with better opportunities in any market.  I get to understanding the "why" by working really hard and caring a lot about my clients and everyone around me.

ABOUT ME:  I became passionate about real estate when I thought it was really cool people owned big buildings (Even cooler that people paid the owners of those buildings more than what it cost them to own it).  From that day, I devoted a lot of time, effort, and energy to internalizing how to invest in real estate.  Flash forward to today:  I am not only continually learning on a daily basis, but i am also executing daily while paving my own path to spreading real estate insight and offering reliable real estate representation.
