Penetrating damp proofing, sometimes known as "penetration", is the result of excess water infiltration through the external wall and into a property. What Causes Penetrating Damp?

Penetrating damp in the property is usually the result of defects in the external damage of the building such as roof tiles, cracks in the walls, guttering damaged or internal damage from leaking or burst pipes.
