Boasting a desirable economy and location in the Missouri Ozark Mountains, Springfield is attracting homebuyers, say local Realtors.
"Nestled in the Ozarks, Springfield and the surrounding towns are currently experiencing incredible growth while remaining one of the most affordable housing markets in the country," say Realtors of The Vigneaux Group . "Springfield seems to be insulated from many of the factors that effect a housing market. Sales continue to be strong the first part of the new year, while sellers are still seeing an increase in property values over the last year. Many buyers that purchase between now and March will see sellers anxious to sell their home, and may benefit as a result."
Say Realtors Jan and Don Jacques , "Springfield's metro area includes 250,000 people with a very strong economy. With the Bass Pro Shop in town and Siver Dollar City and the Branson Strip just 40 minutes away, there are lots of fun entertainment options."
About the market, the Jacques team says, "The Springfield market has remained strong. The new housing starts are remaining strong in the city and in Greene County. The local economy remains strong and growing. All segments of the market remain strong. The downtown area is doing extremely well with building remodeling and loft apartments. Starter homes and move-up remain very active."
"Springfield is known as the "Queen City of the Ozarks" and is the hub of activity for all of Southwest Missouri and parts of Northwest Arkansas, and the gateway to the entertainment capital of the Midwest--Branson, Missouri," says Realtor Stacy K. Willhoit . "Home to Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, the Wonders of Wildlife Museum, Jordan Valley Park Civic Center and Ice Park, and various cultural and entertainment opportunities, Springfield is a great place to live and work."
