Sustainable Packaging Designs and Surprises in 2019

As sustainable energy takes over in hopes of countering climate change, sustainable packaging does much the same replacing plastic and conventional non-biodegradable matter that takes hundreds and thousands of years to dissolve back into the earth. What's more, is that there is a huge chance that plastic wrap and cardboard can even end up in an animal's stomach and wreck them havoc.

Packaging Surprises in 2019

Sustainable packaging has got a lot to do with recycling and reusing. There have been scores of cattle dying away because of consuming plastic! Even the marine life is affected by the consumerism phenomenon. A little consideration towards the environment is not just well deserved but also works to the benefit of the organization itself. Here is how it works:

Reusable Bags Replace Disposable Ones

With the wastage levels skyrocketing making up for 80% percent of the waste that ends up in the water and the slums, plastic makes up for around 13 million tonnes of waste while 1.5 million tonnes of waste comes from paper packaging. This is the major fact that gave rise to businesses going green and giving sustainable packaging a try.

If they send out their merchandise in reusable bags rather than in conventional plastic bags, consumers might feel compelled to retain the nice bag than to chug it away like they do with plastic bags. This is the main reason why companies of every genre, big and small ones; are giving sustainable packaging a go. The green phenomenon is also being enforced by legislation through major bodies like the ISO standards and joining in on the bandwagon is much beneficial for just about any business.

Reusable Bags

The ISO body is introducing new legislation that aims to cut down the carbon footprint with the reusable packaging solutions rather than opting for plastic. Businesses are taking the idea of biodegradable packaging solutions to a degree; it only makes you wonder! When a certain business came up with the idea of bags that were made out of edible material like cornstarch and vegetable oil, it gave the rest a run for their money.

This clever idea is being endorsed by many other industrial giants as something edible like cornstarch will dispose of in a matter of days. Even if it does end up in a goat's stomach, it' all the better since it is completely edible.

Recycling

Even if a brand is deciding to use paper for its packaging solutions, it still is causing trees to be cut down. This is why there is now an alternative to regular paper. You got a recycled paper that I processed to serve just as well as regular paper. This is a real saver for trees. When it comes to getting eco-friendly, trees take top priority.

Not only are tree crucial to curbing the greenhouse effects in the earth's atmosphere, but trees are also a source of food to thousands and millions of organisms and home to many animals and birds all across the globe. Each living thing plays a vital role in maintaining the earth's atmosphere and cutting down a single tree causes damage that will take years to restore. Therefore, businesses opting for recycled material are gaining ace over the rest.

The consumer is all about going eco-friendly today. The world has advanced to a much more educated stance today, and anything that adds to the earth's deterioration of resources is a no-no. No one would support a brand not giving out a lending hand to the restoration of the earth's environment and it is only wishing for a business to promote the going--green phenomenon if it wants to prosper The earth is home to a business and its consumers. Both should work hand in hand to preserve it.

Flax Viscose Woven Fabric

This is rather a brand new invention made specifically out of flax-viscose. The material is made to decompose on its own within 60 days of disposal. The fabric flax viscose is made out of industrial waste, which takes the eco-friendly approach to a whole new level. Not only does the creation of flax-viscose put industrial waste to a useful idea, but it also prevents natural resources like trees from getting cut down. Trees aid in maintaining the ozone layer.

Not just that, trees are also something that regulates the world's climate. Part of the reason behind excessive heat in tropical areas and areas closer to sea level is the loss of trees or maybe because trees do not grow there. For instance, if we consider the GCC countries, you would know what I mean. The climate is scorching hot, and the barren land is not sufficient to sustain green life.

With the greenhouse effect taking its toll-like never before, the climate in the GCC areas has skyrocketed to insane levels. Each year, we get to witness "the hottest year so far." Nonetheless, when there is a will, there is a way! If they can create skyscrapers out of deserts, why can't they plant more trees? This is why they already did make use of the idea of planting trees there, and it has controlled the climate at least a little since the past few years.

If every city decided on preserving trees, we could see the combined effects at a greater pace. Industries play the biggest role in pollution and the destruction of entire forests. If businesses decided on going green using flax viscose paper instead, the world would see a drastic improvement in the overall temperature. We no longer have to sweat to death and freeze to death in the extreme months. A business has to catch on with the latest trends in operations and consumer choices.

The fact that we have got big names like Olive and PUMA ditching the old ways coming up with the most clever eco-friendly packaging solutions, it only makes sense for the rest to follow. How about the interlocking technique instead of glue to hold a box together? Or are you perhaps packing out shampoo bottles in the post-consumer recycled paper? Going green is a whole new realm in itself!
