Chasing Google rank for your real estate website is getting to be “the juice is not worth the squeeze”
I was out on my boat enjoying the Florida weather when my phone dinged a email notification, It was
a email talking about how google changes the rules without telling anyone… and they spank you for
things you did in the past that where once accepted.
Now we are a relatively new site, with a well-built site structure, and we are constantly testing new
things to both increase our exposure and improve the exposer. Bing Yahoo and other search engines
we rank very well for local searches for our target keywords, and question searches.
As a directory for Investor Friendly Title Companies
Yet Google we move around on more than a horse on ice skates… For our keyword, and search questions
& Phrases, we provide way better user experience, and the information the user is looking for, then the very
top ranking links. Some of those links just flat out don’t give you the answer the keywords, and phases are
asking.
Anyway… this article really hit me, the reason we are most other struggle on google ranking, is not that
we are not doing the right things but google is changing for a search engine to a portal.
A search engine goes out on the web and finds sites that are related to your search query. A search Portal
tries to deliver the answer on there portal, without you leaving their site.
An example is :

Here Google is trying to answer the question, with out user redirecting to a web page, your web page.
That’s issues 1 with google.
Issue 2: is no matter how good your site is, anyone can pay and outrank you… Now is that bettering
User Experience, the answer is no. It’s fatting google bank account. Remember googling is not your
servant, it’s a business and although they may act like they are acting in your best interest, follow the money
and you will see the real truth.

Now combine those issues, Google is looking out for itself, if they wanted to help us rank better and
grow our businesses, they would make rules clear on how to rank, and not punish you for how you played
the way you where told to… now the change the rules and it a blink of a eye, you go from page 1 or 2 to
page 20,
But the real secret is right in our face, at least for windows users. New computers come with Bing
as the default search engine. So, if you rank well for Bing and yahoo, is doing tons of other work to rank for google
worth the squeeze?
In our site, we work hard providing users a easy way to find an investor friendly title company just
straight simple answers to the questions you have. And should rank well on any keyword search
that is targeting a question we have the answers too.
The answer is no, buy a ad for the key word you want rank for and you will be at top of the page and get 83% of googles
traffic…In the long run your better to pay to rank google, do good seo for bing and yahoo. Rather then chase a ever moving target
wasting hours or work, and tons of money with limited results.
In months to come google will go more and more the portal route… so be the info provider and use ad space to rank.
that juice is the real squeeze.
