As a homebuyer, we often go into people's homes to do inspections before purchasing. Since COVID, we have had to implement safety measures to keep ourselves and the sellers we work with safe. Any contractor or other professional entering your home should at least adhere to the minimum standards of wearing a mask and social distancing. We have had seller's reach out before an inspection to ask what COVID safety protocols we have. We are happy to talk to them to make assure them that we follow not only the CDC guidelines but also whatever they would like us to do to feel comfortable. We can even use technology such as Facetime or Facebook live to do a tour of a property if a seller is not comfortable with us being present.
In this unprecedented time, do not be afraid to ask questions or insist on safety protocols. As a professional, I will work to accommodate my customers so they feel safe. To do otherwise is not only terrible customer service but potentially endangering a life. Let's all do our part.
