Brett Reasoner has always had a passion for real estate. However, before entering the field, he built a distinguished corporate career as a Global Talent Acquisition Executive, earning recognition as a 2024 Top Restorative People Leader to Watch and a 2025 Top 100 TA Award Winner.
This success didn’t come overnight, however, nor did it come easily. At the age of 34, a life-changing cancer diagnosis would accompany a series of profound losses, which would require him to rebuild his life not just with renewed purpose, but with focus.
Now a member of the elite 8z Real Estate Team, Brett Reasoner proudly serves clients from Denver to Pueblo and beyond in the state of Colorado.
A Season of Losses
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brett Reasoner would face more than just a sudden move. In August 2021, he would relocate to Denver, Colorado, from the state of Ohio, which would require not just determination but also resilience, as the trials that lay ahead would necessitate.
In February 2022, Reasoner would get divorced. In May of that same year, he would be laid off from his job. However, the true challenge would come within the next year, when he would be diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May 2023.
The challenges of fighting cancer are numerous on their own, but Reasoner decided to do something with his free time and enrolled in real estate classes during his recovery. He would be declared cancer-free and become a licensed real estate agent in October 2023.

“I moved across the country, where I didn’t know a single person, during an unprecedented pandemic, and chose to pursue my lifelong passion,” Reasoner shares. “I failed a few times to get to where I am.”
While choosing to take those risks has ultimately paid off for Reasoner, he says that his evolved faith has allowed him to transform his life from the ground up.
