Our garage doors wear and tear through time and can cause certain problems that seem so hard to solve. In the cases these problems below occur, know how to troubleshoot so you will know when you should really call for garage door repair:
• Door is not level. This is usually caused by a frayed cable. You will need to realign it or replace it completely.
• Door opens only when you hold the wall switch down. In most cases, you will need to open the switch and get it cleaned. Sometimes you simply need to realign the button properly.
• Door immediately opens after closing. There is a problem with the limit switch. It needs readjustment.
• Door will not open. A cable or pulley is broken. This is easily replaceable if you have the right tools at home. If you are not confident, call an expert for help.
