There’s no feeling like walking into a five star hotel room, looking around, breathing in and plopping right down on the bed. It feels warm and inviting and the cleanliness is something that you always try to copy at home but never can get it quite right. Hotels spend hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars making their hotel and hotel rooms feel special and inviting so that you will want to return time and time again. You can get this same feeling at home for a fraction of the cost.

The Bed

To make your bed feel like a plush and crisp bed you will first need to get a pair of white sheets, pillowcases and a white comforter. Wash all of them on the hot cycle in your washing machine and make sure you add diluted bleach and fabric softener. Once they are washed, you will want to dry them on the permanent press cycle in the dryer. Remove them from the dryer immediately when they are dry and lay them out on your ironing board and iron them with light spray of starch. To get the comfortable feeling that the hotel mattresses have you can simply add a mattress topper that will cost about one hundred and twenty dollars. This is cheap compared to the fifteen hundred to two thousand dollars that a brand new mattress would cost you. Put the mattress topper on your bed then make the bed with the white sheets and the white comforter. To give it the final touch you can even place two mints on the pillow.

The Bathroom

All hotels use white towels so if you have white towels already in your linen closet you are going to want to wash them with bleach and then fold them neatly so you can place them on your towel rack. Next, you are going to deep clean the entire bathroom and scrub every inch of it. You must be very thorough during this process because you need the super clean bathroom to make it feel just like a hotel bathroom. Make sure that the shower drain isn’t clogged and if it is you need to fix it. If you are unsure on how to unclog a shower drain you can search the internet and it will give you detailed instructions on what you need to do.

Living Space

Using light and airy colors to decorate your living space will help give your home the hotel feel. Clean lines and modern furniture and fixtures throughout this area will give it just what it needs to complete the look. Now you need to decide on what fragrance you want to use. Using the same fragrance all over the house is always better than using multiple ones.

Lighting

A great deal of light is needed in order to help your home feel like a hotel room. You can go out a purchase extra lamps to place in your home or if you want to do it the cheaper way you can just open the curtains on all your windows. Let in as much natural light as possible and then if you think you still need more you can always go with more lamps

With these easy to do tips, you can transform your home into the perfect hotel room. The good thing about this is you don’t have to travel to get the hotel room feeling. You can have it in the comfort of your own home. It will definitely help you get a better night’s sleep because your bed will have clean crisp sheets and a new mattress topper too!
