The dishwasher is one of the most used appliances in your home. It saves you time and the drudgery of washing your dishes by hand. You simply put the dirty plates and glasses into the machine, press the button, and let your dishwasher do the work. If your dishwasher suddenly stops filling with water, inspect the water inlet valve.
Check if the water valve’s filter screen is dirty and filled with debris. The valve is located behind the dishwasher’s lower access panel. You can try to clean off the screen and find out if it is enough to solve the problem.
If cleaning the water inlet valve’s filter screen doesn’t fix the issue, it can be caused by a faulty float switch, door switch, solenoid, or other parts. You can ask help from an appliance repair technician to see if the defective part needs to be replaced.
