The most common cause of leaking inside the fridge is a clogged defrost drain. The congestion may be caused by ice buildup of food debris. Since the water cannot escape the drain, it ends up leaking. You can do the refrigerator repair by following the steps below:
1. Disconnect your refrigerator from the power source.
2. If possible, transfer the food in your freezer in an insulated bag or ice chest box.
3. Remove the drain cover. If it is frozen solid, apply hot compress until it is removable.
4. Using a funnel, carefully pour hot water through the drain hole.
This should remove any blockage from the defrost drain. If the problem persists, contact an appliance service specialist to check.
