With only a few days left in 2017, many people across the globe are gearing up for good things and making plans as to how they will achieve them.
One area I want to encourage couples to move towards in 2018, is investing in a Vancouver condo together. With all-time high rental rates and all-time low availability, finding a space that you and your partner both agree on to rent might seem nearly impossible.
My question is – why rent when you can start investing in your buying future right now? Real estate is at the top of the charts as to how people gain their wealth, and starting early is key. Purchasing a home with a partner is also a bonus as you have dual incomes in which to invest - making a higher down payment more likely, and a lower mortgage to go with it.
Although it might seem like a massive move, especially if you are a fairly new couple, with a sound buying agreement and the right purchasing decision, I do believe you will be thrilled with your choice 3, 5, 10 years from now when your investment begins to pay off and you have actual equity from which to build upon.
