Seven Ways to Increase Traffic & Conversions on Your Real Estate Blog

For businesses looking to increase brand awareness and employ new marketing strategies, blogging is a relatively easy way to get more traffic and attract new customers.

Many real estate agents today already maintain their own blogs as a means to promote their brand message and get to know their customers better while improving their visibility online.

But nowadays, with so many agents and real estate buyers taking on the bait and coming up with blogs of their own, it is no longer enough to just have one. Not knowing how to make the most of your blog to get actual results can be detrimental. After all, no blog is ever as effective if no one is actually reading it.

Here are seven ways to increase conversion on your real estate blog.

 

1. Create viral content.

 

To entice new readers to your blog and improve traffic, it is important to come up with ways to create viral content that can easily be shared throughout different social media platforms. Many real estate businesses spend so much on creating content. 

Content creation is, to this day, one of the most difficult tasks in all marketing efforts and often takes the most time. But marketing results and feedback from top content creators help reassure us that the effort you’ve put in creating quality content is sure to give you the most results in terms of conversion once it does go viral.

One sure-fire way to ensure your content goes viral is by stimulating interest and drawing emotion from your readers. This means your blog posts should be able to draw emotions such as humor, inspiration, sadness and awe to generate enough reaction for people to like and even share your posts to their families and friends.

It is important to remember that the types of content that draws positive reactions from your readers are also more likely to get shares which can boost your traffic. Creating posts that offer useful and valuable information is also another tried and tested method to get the most shares especially in social media.

 

2. Promote content on social media.

 

No content is ever as effective without the proper visibility. Make the most of the effort you’ve put into your blog content by optimizing your website or blog to be able to post and share content to many different social media channels like Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Twitter and even through email. This gives your audience more options as to how they can promote your content to their own networks.

The biggest conversion relies heavily on your call to action buttons and they drive the success of your marketing efforts.

Call to action buttons invite responses from your readers and can lead to a range of different actions such as your readers filling out forms, signing up to a newsletter, subscribing to your blog, buying your products or downloading something from your website.

All these bring your readers just a click and a tap away from converting. It is for this reason that your blog needs to have call to action buttons posted everywhere. Businesses need to look closely into how their call to action buttons are placed, how they are designed and what they say to generate the most responses from their readers. 

 

4. Optimize for SEO with keywords.

 

To bring in more readers and generate more traffic for your blog, it is always smart to optimize your blog for SEO with keywords. Two of my favorite sites about SEO are Search Engine Journal and Neil Patel's site ... so get started there.

By adding specific keywords to your blog posts, it is easier for your site to appear on Google’s search engine recommendations every time someone types in these keywords. Improving visibility for your blog helps create more brand awareness which can lead to better conversion. 

Start with tools like SEMRush and Google's Keyword Planner, and remember to use geo specific terms that include the towns and cities that you operate in. That way, if someone is searching for "Tulsa real estate agent" and you are in Tulsa, there is a greater chance they will find you.

 

5. Attract interest with headlines.

 

Another way to create more interest for your brand is by coming up with great headlines. Many people are drawn to interesting headlines and are more likely to get more clicks for your blog posts. It is important to remember how powerful a great headline at being an action driver for your blog post.

It should be interesting, precise and clear at the same time to not only get more readers but to ensure they read through the rest of your post which brings them just a step closer to conversion. No matter how catchy your headline is, if it does not translate into anything remotely close to what the rest of your post has to say, you lose credibly quickly and can easily turn off your readers. 6. Cross-link to related content.

 

Linking your blog posts to other related content also helps bring in more traffic from different sources that you otherwise may not have access to. Links from different sites help improve your visibility and goes a long way in ensuring your blog is positioned to attract a new audience while capturing the interest of key industry players which can help get your business the right traction to come out on top.

 

7. Generate email traffic.

 

To make the most of your blog and build on the traffic you have generated, pay attention to your email subscribers and come up with ways to act on your emails and newsletters. Spending time on posts tailored specifically for your mailing list helps you find potential leads, generate more clicks for your website, and get more traffic for your promos and offers.

There is so much potential that brands and businesses can make the most of from maintaining their blogs but to ensure they get the best results in terms of promoting traffic or generating sales and conversion, they need to stay consistent, learn from their audience and pay close attention to what their customers and subscribers are looking for and responding to.
