Most Frequent Causes of a Garage Door That Won’t Close

On most occasions, the first thing that will come into your mind when your garage door won’t close all the way down is to call a garage door repair specialist for help. Think of the time and money you can save by checking the three common causes of this problem.
• Your opener has a switch limit that determines how far to open or close your garage door. If the close-limit switch is set incorrectly, it will prevent your door from closing. You can adjust it with a screwdriver.
• The electronic safety sensors may need realignment or adjustment. Each side of your door both has electronic eyes that should be on. If one of the eyes is off or blinking, it means the brackets holding them are out of alignment causing your door to reverse when you close it.
• Damaged or rusted rollers can also cause your door to fasten tightly in the tracks. This can be fixed by replacing defective rollers and lubricating them. Bent tracks can also cause the problem.
If you can’t find the origin of the problem, then that would be the perfect time to request assistance from the experts.
