How to Replace a Garage Door Opener Correctly

Garage door openers are a must have in every home or property. Without it, it can be hard to open a garage door. Door openers wear out after prolonged use. Fortunately, you can easily install a new one.
1. Detach the door’s bracket.Remove the bolts and nuts that attaches bracket.
2. Remove the motor.Carefully detach the safety lenses by unhooking the wiring held by screws. You can then separate the motor from the door.
3. Assemble the new motor.Before you can replace the old motor, you need to assemble the rails and the new opener. Manufacturers provide a detailed instructional material that you can follow.
4. Install the motor replacement.Hook the wiring to the new motor and the safety lenses. Then, you need to tighten the bolts and nuts you removed in the beginning of the procedure.
For more convenience, you can ask a garage door technician to install the new door opener. It will only take a few minutes to complete the procedure.
