A child's room should have space to play alone and places to store toys. If everything is scattered, it will become a space in which nobody wants to be.

Before decorating a children's room you should take into account several aspects such as safety, comfort or the age and tastes of children.

The children's room is their magical world, where they feel safe where they have their toys and where they enjoy free time after school. For all this must convey security and breadth, security for parents to be reassured that children have no accidents in it and amplitude because children need a lot of space to dance, jump, play, etc. To achieve these two aspects, the organization of the room is fundamental.

The age and the personal tastes of the child are factors to take into account when decorating your kid's room. According to expert theory, bedroom decoration has 2 phases: 1st phase (0-3 years ) and 2nd phase ( 3-11 years ). In the first stage, the child does not have much to say but from 3 years the child is developing and it is good to decorate the room focusing on his hobbies. For example, his favorite color or the character that is his faithful companion in all games. This can serve as a guide when stamping walls, or quilts.

The lighting of the nursery is important. According to feng shui keys for children's bedrooms, during the day, if possible, try to use natural light. At night you can place a central light that illuminates the entire room equally. You can also place a wall that has a dimmer light and soft and that will help your child to calm down and better sleep.

Regarding child safety in the bedroom, there are many precautions to be taken into account. There are especially dangerous elements that we must take care of, such as lamps, sockets, and corners. Avoid placing a table or standing lamps as they can be dangerous by plugs. As for the furniture in the room, we should try to have rounded corners to prevent the smallest of the house from hitting each other.

However, if what we want is that the children's bedroom has the same style as the rest of the house, we should look for children's alternatives within the same frame: if our house is minimalist, modern, rustic, shabby chic, Nordic, nautical, etc, we should think about a proposal for children who enroll in that style. Just there, define furniture, paint colors, curtains, shelves, quilts, place decorative accessories for example wooden toys, Inspirational wall art, kids pillow, cushions etc. If we do not plan it before and buy everything separately and without criteria, it is likely that we will move away from the desired objective.

If the decision is not to follow the general style of the house and give the child a place of his own, that breaks with the established, an excellent option is to decorate the room giving it a thematic air: a castle of princess, superheroes, pirates, racing cars, spacecraft, ships, etc. With the decoration, we can create a fantasy world - beach, jungle, mountain, etc - and fill the place with magic. The possibilities are endless and it is fundamental to think with the kids - if they have a certain age - what style they enjoy. They are the ones who will spend more time in that place and they should feel at ease.
