5 New Internet Tools That Can Save You Time and Money

It's almost the summer of 2015 already! Can you believe it? Check out some of these relatively new internet tools and smart phone apps that will help you save time and money in 2015.

1. Venmo

A subsidiary of PayPal, Venmo is truly a game changer. The sheer ease of use and the flawless user interface (UI) is what sets this app apart from the competition. Imagine that you are at an informal setting such as a garage sale and you did not bring enough cashS  Simply add the garage sale host and the transaction can be completed directly from your phone. Instead of running to the bank and getting more cash, the transaction takes place then and there. Check Venmo's website out here, but use extreme discretion when selecting the trust button.

2. Compare.com

By now everyone has heard of comparison websites such as Kayak, TripAdvisor, Hotels.com etc. Until recently there was not an accurate and trustworthy tool for comparing many different auto insurance policies. The reason Compare.com is awesome is that it pits insurance companies against one another, delivering the best price to the end consumer. For small business owners this is a great way to save both time and money. Compare Auto Insurance now!

3. GasBuddy

If you find yourself traveling by car, this app can save you up to $0.45 per gallon depending on your geographic region. The app uses geolocation algorithms to spit out data in real time. When driving on an interstate, this tool/app becomes crucial as we all know how gas prices can fluctuate drastically depending on how close the gas station is to the highway. Regardless, I make great use of this app each and every time I fill up, no matter where I am. Find cheap gas now!

4. uSell

How many of us have broken one of our smart gadgets? How many of us have temporarily lost our phone only to buy a new one and find it shortly thereafter? There is now a viable option that has a pretty flawless user interface (UI) and gave me a pretty darn good deal on my old Samsung Galaxy III. In essence, I had a very good experience with uSell, and they come strongly recommended. I believe they are most well-known for their iPhones, and especially their iPhone trade in program.

5. Hotel Tonight

Hotels, much like airlines, face a huge problem when it comes to dealing with surplus inventory. Hotel Tonight is a company that aims to deliver better prices to customers by providing huge discounts for last minute bookings. It's an absolutely perfect tool for weary travelers who may decide to rest for a night after a long day of driving. Or perhaps business people who may see their stay prolonged for a variety of reasons. Whatever the reason, Hotel Tonight is a solid choice for spontaneous travelers. Check their website out here: https://www.hoteltonight.com/.
