Some people simply cannot seem to be able to grow plants at home. Plants are bought and then they die. This is much more common than what you may think and a big reason why we see so many homes without plants in them. Fortunately, there are always some plants that are very easy-to-grow. You do not have to worry about advanced gardening things, like no till parts. You just need to get the plants and follow some basic instructions.

Jade Plant – Crassula Ovata

Most low-key gardeners recommend that you add a jade plant to your home. This is because it has really high built-in resilience and is quite adaptable. It can be grown both outdoors and indoors. When you need to water it, you do not have to do much. You just have to water it from time to time during the warmer months. Then, you wait for soil to fully dry. After this happens, it is time to water again. During the winter even less water is needed. If you want to propagate the plan, just a stem is needed for the growth of a brand new jade plant.

Happy Plant – Dracaena Fragrans

You might have already seen happy plants but did not know this is the name. They are regularly present in offices and homes. This is because minimal care is required and the happy plant can easily grow in all positions.

One of the really interesting things about the happy plants is that the one mistake you could make is to over-water them. You might also ruin it when it is placed in direct sunlight for a longer period of time. If you manage to avoid such conditions, the happy plant remains happy.

Mother-In-Law’s Tongue – Sansevieria Trifasciata

From a plant with a nice name, we move to one that might not be appealing but mother-in-law’s tongue is quite a classic among house plants. Its reputation is unfortunate because it is a truly forgiving plant. All leaves are pointed and rigid. This is why the name was chosen. The plant tolerates irregular watering and low light conditions. It is perfect for the forgetful or just plain lazy gardener. One extra advantage of having it in your home is that it can convert carbon dioxide right into oxygen during the night. You thus have a great bedroom plant.

Cacti

Whenever thinking about low-maintenance house plants, cacti often pop-up. They are perfect for practically all the lazy gardeners out there. You can choose out of hundreds of different species, all being renowned for the fact that they can tolerate extreme conditions. Cacti are great for those that often forget watering plants. A couple can be put into a put in a position that has full sun exposure. Soil needs to be well-draining and occasional watering is all the extra that is needed.

The plants above are not at all hard to grow and just some that lazy gardeners can add to their home. Many others exist and you can so easily find some that will match interior design.
