Must-have checklist for house-hunting homebuyers!

Anyone searching for a new home has likely had the experience of drawing a blank at the end of the day when the features of the various houses all meshed into one large abstract mental collage!

Remember the one that had the vaulted ceilings and the gym in the finished basement? Or was that the one with the two-car garage and the cabana by the pool?

When at times it can often be difficult to remember what we had for breakfast, keeping the details straight for 3 or 4 homes visited in one day can be next to impossible.

The solution? With the advent of smart phones bringing back photos of  the homes you visited and the major amenities inside and out can help to solve this problem of remembering in a big way.

But, in addition, the checklist below also allows the homebuyer to clearly catalog some of the other attributes of a house that pictures alone may not help with.

At the end of the day (and typically a very long day when house-hunting), it’s about having the correct facts so that when all of the party’s to the ultimate decision are sitting around the table discussing what it was that they liked, loved and hated they will be on the same page!

Hallmark Abstract Service

In 2008 we opened our doors focused on two primary goals:

Number one was to be a title insurance company that would provide clients with a superior finished product that completely protects their interests for what will likely be one of the largest transactions of their lifetime.

Number two was to insure that the experience of working with Hallmark Abstract Service was as easy and seamless as possible for all parties involved in the transaction!

From the number of satisfied clients who come back to Hallmark Abstract Service time after time for their title insurance needs, the evidence bears out that we have accomplished these two goals in the past and will maintain our client centric focus far into the future!

This experience at Shearson/Lehman Brothers followed by stints at PaineWebber and Citigroup provided a broad framework and understanding of the real estate and mortgage markets.

As CEO of Exeter Commercial which underwrote and funded commercial mortgage loans as a correspondent lender, title insurance played a critical role in both the underwriting and closing process.

In 2008 recognizing both an opportunity and need, Hallmark Abstract Service was born.
