US Economic Calendar for the Week of June 9, 2014
For anyone who’s concerned with the future direction of mortgage rates while at the same time is trying to determine what the current condition and overall future direction of the US economy will be, the data scheduled for release during the upcoming week will most certainly provide actual evidence along with strong anecdotal clues.
While the week is relatively sparse in terms of the volume of critical data points, one example of a potential market mover is the retail sales number for May that will be released on Thursday, June 12:
Time Report Period Previous
8:30 am | Retail sales | May | 0.1% |
And, as has been the case for some time now, the markets will be watching geopolitical hotspots with the potential for serious flare-ups that could have global implications.
Finally, in conjunction with data and potential breaking news, any comments from Federal Reserve members both schedules and impromptu will be parsed by market participants for possible clues about the future of monetary policy.
Courtesy of Econoday this is the chart of the US economic data to be released during the week of June 9, 2014 along with scheduled speeches by members of the Federal Reserve. All in all the table has been set for what might be significant action in both the bond and stock markets.
