Let's face it, searching for homes in Jupiter can be quite daunting. The marketing is still favoring sellers and inventory is scarce. From my own personal experience helping my daughter, a first time home buyer, the process can be extremely frustrating. But with the right attitude and a lot of tenacity, the perfect affordable home will eventually show up in your search.
Single family pool homes priced under $400,000 in Jupiter are the most challenging properties to obtain. If you can sacrifice and go with a townhome scenario, you'll not only gain space and a community pool, but you relieve yourself of a lot of the common maintenance issues a single family homeowner contends with.
The pool pictured above was one of my previous listings in Jupiter River Estates and part of a wonderfully maintained 3/3 home in the heart of Jupiter Florida. The sales price was under $300,000! It's a smaller old Florida style CBS construction and no garage. But it goes to show you that pool homes in Jupiter can be had for under $400,000 and even lower.
The key to finding the perfect pool home is preparation. Be pre-approved by a lender and ready to make an offer in a short period of time. Find the home you want, make an offer. Don't think twice about it because someone will be lined up right behind you in this market. The key to success is quickly analyzing the sales price and confirming that it will appraise. Secondly, the inspection period needs to be clearly stated in the sales contract. If anything detrimental shows up during inspection, it will save you a lot of money and heartache down the road. Or at the very least will give you a bargaining chip to negotiate a lower price or repairs of questionable items.
Thinking about townhome living? Abacoa Antigua community pool pictured above is rarely used by residents. Believe it or not, this is usually the case in most community pools. Residents just don't take advantage of the amenities. The great news about Abacoa Antigua and a few other townhome communities in Abacoa is they are priced in the upper $200's to low $300's and offer up a ton of living space and attached 1 and 2 car garages. With the townhome, you'll enjoy newer construction, much more living space and well maintained landscaping. What you won't get is a private yard and your own pool.
Want location over space or privacy? CONDOS ON THE BEACH allow you the million dollar view and a pool. But you'll most likely NEVER have this pool to yourself. Ever. Condos won't get the space of a townhome or a garage and you'll be saddled with a pretty hefty condo fees to boot. But what you sacrifice in space, privacy and fees is the view. Ocean Trail Condos pictured above are directly on Jupiter Beach. There's no road to cross, no direct public access. All you have to do is walk beyond the pool and you're right on a pristine Atlantic Ocean beach.
