Clogged Drain? This Is How You Proceed!

Hardly anything else is as unpleasant as a clogged drain pipe. You don't always have to rely on chemicals. In order to prevent this from happening in the first place, a few tips on how to avoid it:

  1. Do not allow food residues to get into the drain. If it does happen, rinse with very hot water.
  2. Rinse once a week with very hot water (best to wear protective kitchen gloves on your hands). This will remove any residue quickly and easily. Major congestions cannot occur in the first place.
  3. Hair often accumulates in the bathroom sink. They are considered the most common cause of congestions and the most persistent when they reach the drain. Regular removal of these hairs prevents clogging and annoyance.
  4. The congestion of the drain in the toilet is usually caused by a too generous use of toilet paper. To prevent the accumulation of too much toilet paper, occasionally use the large flush button extra.

If it should happen that a drain pipe is clogged, you should not immediately use the fiercest chemical substances. These are sometimes very effective but costly and also pollute the environment. Grandma's home recipe, such as the filling of baking powder, which has been dissolved in vinegar, has the same effect while also protecting the environment. Simply pour it into the clogged drain pipe and wait until it begins to bubble vigorously. It’s a remedy that does its work in most cases.

  1. The spiral is one of the most effective mechanical tools when it comes to cleaning pipes. Simply insert the metal spiral into the drainpipe, apply the crank and rotate until the materials responsible for the congestion of the drainpipe are discharged. Thorough rinsing is sufficient.

Sometimes, however, it is not the drain that is clogged, but the adjacent sewer. Here only a pipe cleaning emergency service helps. This is noticeable when the water in various drains in the house is blocked. If it is the case, you can look for a help here.
