Whether it's visiting the zoo, taking a scenic tour, checking out a museum or visiting the scenic Inner Harbor, there's a lot to do in Baltimore and great ways to keep the whole family entertained! When it comes to a city that delivers on the "Wow" factor, Baltimore has the best in entertainment venues:

For the Family: Fun, Food and Walking Tours

Fells Point: Where can you find a little bit of history combined with a lot of great food? In a Fells Point walking tour, of course! By walking past the InnerHarbor, or by taking a water taxi there, you can enjoy the landmark buildings and colorful homes that make up the Fells Point area. Be sure to bring walking shoes as some sections have cobblestone pavements. If it's a hot and humid day, visit the area at night where you will find great pubs and some of the best seafood in Baltimore. You'll also find some of the greatest eateries on these narrow streets, so be sure you don't stop at the first restaurant or eatery you see!

Fort McHenry National Monument: A great way to take a walking tour is to check out Fort McHenry. The views are amazing and you can see the historic landmark that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the National Anthem. You'll also see real cannons and historical artifacts. Be sure to watch the film about Fort McHenry and take plenty of pictures! You can also set up a picnic lunch here. Take a taxi over to the fort or use the water taxi service from Fells Point to the Inner Harbor for easy access.

The Inner Harbor: For the most amazing walking tour, take in the Inner Harbor. You can spend the whole day walking and shopping, or grab a bite to eat on one of two pavilions and jump in a water taxi. With scenic views of Fort McHenry, Fells Point and surrounding areas, you're sure to find a relaxing time! You'll also find a lot of other attractions in the area, so you can always make this your meeting place if the kids want to go to the aquarium and the adults want to shop.

Location: The heart of the InnerHarbor is right at the water's edge at Pratt and Light Streets. There are two pavilions on either side of the harbor entrance.

The Maryland Science Center: Ready for an interactive day that's fun, informative and interactive for the whole family? Check out the Maryland Science Center. With dinosaur exhibits, Newton's Alley and SpaceLink, kids can learn about history and see real artifacts. There are also electrifying exhibits like PowerUp! Let kids immerse themselves in understanding how electricity runs! But don't run out of gas! Make sure to take a break at IMAX where you can catch one of several 3D adventures where kids can learn about tornadoes, butterflies, dinosaurs, whales and penguins. When you're ready to recharge your batteries, stop in the Beakers Café for a bite to eat.

The Maryland Zoo: Where can you find penguins, lions, elephants and flamingos? At the Maryland Zoo! With so much to see outdoors, bring your walking shoes, sun hat and glasses! Kids will love the interactive exhibits and you can take in – over 1,500 to be exact! Let kids visit their favorite types of animals like monkeys, chimps, prairie dogs, giraffes and crocs! Consider celebrating a birthday here or having your private event. Walk to various exhibits or take the convenient tram and bypass the foot traffic. Also give yourself a few hours to visit all the animals and keep track of the time, most days they close at 4pm. Look for summer savings and discounted evening pricing.

The National Aquarium: With so much to see, you might want to spend a whole day here, especially if it's a hot day in the city. Step inside and enjoy the cool air and all there is to do and see! How about starting with the touch pools where kids are encouraged to reach in and feel live jellyfish and snails! Next up, you'll want to visit Shark Alley or stop in a Tropical Rain Forest. With live coral reefs and several exhibits, the kids will have plenty to learn about. Encourage them to take pictures for show and tell at school or their next science project. Also be sure to look for 4D films with Sea Monsters or other aquatic characters like Sponge Bob!

For the Adults…

The Horseshoe Casino: Ready to try your luck at the slots? Be sure to visit the Horseshoe Casino, a large, two-story casino in Baltimore. A Caesar's casino, you'll find all kinds of table games, penny slots, a VIP high roller area and more. With restaurants by Guy Fieri, Johnny Sanchez, Ruby 8 Sushi, upscale steak dining at Jack Binions, and quick bites at a local marketplace, you can refuel and recharge before the next concert or show begins. Check the online calendar for venue dates and to sign up for your Total Rewards card. Who knows where the night will take you? Because the hotel is partnered with local hotels, don't worry, if it gets late. They can check you right in!

Museums and Culture…

The American Visionary Art MuseumFor a unique play on art, architecture, design and color, take in this scenic tour. Walking from room to room will show you one stunning exhibit after the next. Be sure to charge your camera and cell phone battery and bring your walking shoes. Check online for discounts and dates when they may have free admission. Kids can also find out about summer art camp if you live in the area.

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum: Known as the B&O, kids will love this walking tour where they can see trains old and new. With Toddler Time, a train carousel and kids zone, kids of all ages can have fun – and that means grandpa, too! There's an American Civil War exhibit that includes a movie and references landmarks and areas where the Civil War helped to bring change and freedom to the United States. Consider having a birthday party for your child here, or do a guided tour.

The Baltimore Museum of Art: Known as the BMA, the museum is home to African artifacts, an Asian art gallery, an American quilt exhibit and various other exhibits. Be sure to check the calendar ahead of time for changing exhibit dates and new additions. They also have a special jazz music venue in their sculpture garden, so be sure to check the website for dates.

The Jewish Museum of Maryland: With an amazing way to showcase Jewish history and cultural events and items, the museum helps to show children historical leaders and they can view rare artifacts, artwork, and videos.

The Walters Art MuseumReady for a walking tour that can take you from 19th century Europe to pre-dynastic Egypt? You'll find that and more at the Walters Art Museum. With walking tours and group tours, you can take in various collections of art, see amazing art nouveau jewelry and even glimpse a Greek sculpture or two. Make sure to check the calendar ahead of time for tour times and various exhibits.

Music Venues…

The Hippodrome Theatre: Check out this historic landmark that first opened its doors in 1914. the Hippodrome was designed by Thomas Lamb and sits atop the area that was once the old Eutaw House. With its seating for 3,000, you can catch top Baltimore shows here, as well as local venues. Be sure to check the calendar to find out about upcoming shows in case you want to purchase tickets.

The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall: Known as the BSO, this beautiful hall has the most amazing acoustics inside. Whether you are interested in classical or an opera, they have the most amazing live music and events. Check their calendar ahead of time for events to ensure you get a seat!

Sports Venues…

M&T Bank Stadium: The best way to catch the Baltimore Ravens football team in action is at a home game! Get your purple and black on and support the team! Check their online calendar for game dates. Ample parking is nearby.

Oriole Park at Camden Yards: Hey Batter, Batter! When you're ready for a little baseball, make sure to get your tickets and head over to Camden Yards. You'll find a lot of Oriole fans in their orange and black. With plenty of seating and tons of good food, make yourself right at home in bucket seats where all you have to worry about is one hot dog or two! You won't even care when the game goes into extra innings because you're still doing the wave with crowds of cheering fans! Ample parking is within walking distance.
