Pasadena, Calif. (October 20, 2020) - Coldwell Banker Commercial represented the seller of the former Pasadena Museum of California Art building in a transaction valued at $7.9 million. The three-story property was built in 2002 and operated as a museum until 2019.

The property is located at 490 E Union Street in Pasadena's Playhouse District. The building has .68 acres of land and the entire 2nd floor was used as museum space. There are 35 covered parking spaces plus a private storage space and a beautiful roof top deck on the third floor.  Bill Ukropina sold the property previously in 2019.

The buyer of the property is Burbank-based Spectrasonics, who is a leading developer of World Class sample sound libraries. Spectrasonics was founded in 1994 by Los Angeles composer Eric Persing and his wife Lorey. Spectrasonics will bring many employees to Pasadena to fulfill their business needs.

"It didn't take long for this unique property to attract interest from buyers," said Bill Ukropina of Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT, who was the leader professional representing the owner, a California-based private investor. "The 16-foot ceilings, outdoor event space, prime downtown Pasadena location and exceptional acoustics set this building apart in the Southern California market."

Coldwell Banker Commercial professional Kathi Constanzo was also part of the property marketing team with Ukropina.
