Orlando, Florida is known for its theme parks and attractions, but that’s not all… It is also a wonderful place to call Home. From the beautiful weather to the number of activities, restaurants, and shopping, living in Orlando offers residents a high quality of life.

This article will explore why living in Orlando is so much fun and how the beautiful weather contributes to the city's charm.

Beautiful Weather All Year Long

One of the biggest draws of living in Orlando is the warm weather we experience all year long. The city has a subtropical climate with hot and humid summers and mild and chilled winters, making it a popular destination for tourists and snowbirds alike.

The average temperature in Orlando ranges from the mid-70s in the winter to the mid-90s in the summer, with plenty of sunshine all year round.

The mild winter weather is particularly appealing to those who are used to colder climates. While other parts of the country are experiencing snow and freezing temperatures, Orlando residents enjoy outdoor activities without having to bundle up.

In fact, many outdoor activities are more enjoyable during the winter months, such as hiking, biking, and golfing. Especially when visiting theme parks!

During the summer months, Orlando residents can take advantage of the city's many lakes and nearby beaches. Whether it's spending the day at one of the many theme parks, lounging by a pool, or taking a dip in the beach, there's no shortage of ways to enjoy the summer. Keep in mind, we do have gators in our lakes!

Just a quick drive from the world’s famous beaches such as Cocoa Beach, Daytona, St. Pete, Clearwater, and the list goes on…

Activities and Amenities

In addition to the beautiful weather, Orlando offers an abundance of activities and entertainment for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The city is home to some of the world's most famous theme parks, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and SeaWorld. These parks offer endless entertainment options, from thrill rides to shows and parades, and there's always something new to explore.

Beyond the theme parks, Orlando has a thriving arts and culture scene. The city is home to the Orlando Museum of Art, the Orlando Science Center, and the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, just to name a few.

There are also numerous festivals and events throughout the year, such as the Orlando Fringe Festival, the Florida Film Festival, and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

For sports fans, Orlando has several professional sports teams, including the Orlando Magic (NBA), the Orlando City Soccer Club (MLS), and the Orlando Pride (NWSL).

The city also hosts major sporting events like the NFL Pro Bowl and the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament.

The Amway Center is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment arena located in Orlando, Florida. The arena opened its doors in 2010 and has become one of the city's most popular destinations for sports fans and concert-goers.

The Amway Center is home to the NBA's Orlando Magic, and it also hosts a variety of other events throughout the year, including concerts, comedy shows, and family-friendly events.

One of the most striking features of the Amway Center is its unique architecture. The building's exterior is made up of a series of curved metal panels that give it a sleek, modern look.

Inside, the arena is equally impressive, with seating for up to 20,000 people and a state-of-the-art sound system that ensures every seat in the house has a great view and a great listening experience.

Excellent Education and Career Opportunities

Orlando is also home to several top-notch colleges and universities, including the University of Central Florida, the largest university in the state of Florida.

Other notable schools in the area include Rollins College, Full Sail University, Embry Riddle, Florida Tech, and Valencia College.

These institutions offer a range of academic programs and are known for their high-quality education.

In terms of career opportunities, Orlando has a diverse economy with a range of industries, including healthcare, technology, and hospitality.

Some of the city's largest employers include Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, Amazon, Lockheed Martin, and Advent Health.

The area also offers many small businesses and startups the opportunity to thrive, making it a great place for entrepreneurs and innovators.

Community Spirit and Support

Finally, one of the best things about living in Orlando is the strong sense of community. The city is known for its friendly and welcoming residents, and there are many community organizations and events that bring people together.

Whether it's volunteering at a local charity, participating in a neighborhood clean-up, or attending a community event, there are plenty of ways to get involved and make a difference.

In conclusion, living in Orlando for the past 20 years has been a wonderful experience and I would not want to live anywhere else!
